2026 WORKSHOPS

Decoding Movement Aparna Shah
Decoding Movement: The Art of Dynamic Assessment

DATE:       22 NOV 2026
TRAINER: Aparna Shah

Every client tells a story through the way they move. The ability to observe movement with clarity and purpose is one of the most valuable skills a movement instructor can develop.

This practical workshop introduces a simple yet effective framework for conducting a dynamic movement assessment within a client’s first two sessions. Learn what to look for when observing posture and alignment. Assess functional movement and movement strategies and connect your findings to the client's movement history and goals in order to identify meaningful patterns.

You’ll leave with the ability to translate your observations into an exercise programme with clear intention, giving you greater confidence in teaching private clients and group classes.

Angelie Melzer
ABCDs of Scoliosis

DATE:        6 DEC 2026
TRAINER: Angelie Melzer

Scoliosis is more than a spinal curve. It is a three-dimensional movement pattern that influences posture, breathing, balance, gait and whole-body function. Understanding how to assess and work with these clients safely and effectively is an essential skill for every movement professional.

In this hands-on four-hour workshop, participants will learn a practical framework for assessing scoliosis and applying movement-based strategies that improve alignment, breathing efficiency, spinal mobility and functional movement.

Through postural and gait analysis, breathing techniques, mirror imaging, centering strategies and de-rotational movement principles, attendees will leave with immediately applicable tools to confidently work with clients who have scoliosis of all ages and abilities.

Whether your clients have structural scoliosis, functional asymmetries, or simply present with rotational imbalances, this workshop will provide an evidence-informed movement approach that integrates seamlessly into Pilates, GYROTONIC®, personal training, and rehabilitation settings.

2027 WORKSHOPS

Decoding the Lower Body Aparna Shah
Decoding the Lower Body: Alignment & Cueing

DATE:       16 JAN 2027
TRAINER: Aparna Shah

The lower body provides the foundation for efficient movement, influencing force transference through the body in everyday activities. Yet every body presents with unique movement strategies shaped by their anatomy, movement history and functional needs.

This practical workshop explores how the pelvis, hips, knees and feet work together to create a strong foundation for the spine and produce efficient movement. By conducting dynamic movement assessments on the Reformer, Trapeze Table and Chair, attendees will develop a deeper understanding of the biomechanics of the lower body; and the connection between alignment anomalies, muscle function and control. This will help with making informed decisions about exercise selection, programming and cueing.

Develop the confidence to look beyond textbook alignment and teach the individual in front of you, creating more effective and meaningful movement experiences for every client.

AME Decoding the Shoulder Aparna Shah
Decoding the Shoulder: Mobility Meets Stability

DATE:       13 MAR 2027
TRAINER: Aparna Shah

The shoulder is one of the body’s most mobile and most misunderstood, joints. While mobility is essential for reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling, true shoulder function depends on the balance between mobility, stability and coordinated movement throughout the shoulder girdle.

This hands-on workshop explores the biomechanics of the glenohumeral joint and how movement patterns influence shoulder function. Through observation, movement analysis and practical application on the Reformer and Trapeze Table, you’ll learn how to recognise common movement compensations, improve shoulder congruency and make informed decisions when selecting exercises and equipment.

Develop the confidence to teach the shoulder with greater precision, helping clients move efficiently while reducing unnecessary strain.
